Inside the Stelliers Judging Process

The search for the most outstanding hospitality talent in Greater China has officially entered its next exciting chapter. With applications for Stelliers Greater China 2025 now closed, our attention turns to the judging phase, where industry excellence meets expert evaluation.

Behind every Stelliers award is a rigorous, fair, and transparent judging process that ensures only the most deserving hoteliers are recognised. The Stelliers Greater China 2025 awards are judged by a panel of five industry experts, each bringing a wealth of experience to the selection process.

Here’s how it works:

  • Once an application is submitted, it undergoes an initial vetting process to ensure it meets eligibility criteria. If any adjustments are needed, applicants will be notified.

  • Vetted applications are individually reviewed by the judges, who select their top five candidates for each category (top eight for the General Manager category).

  • Before the Finalist Announcement, the judging panel deliberates, defends, and reaches a consensus on the top finalists in each category. The final shortlist is then publicly revealed.

  • After being shortlisted, finalists participate in a 20-minute online interview, conducted and transcribed by the Stelliers team. Interviews are available in English or Mandarin.

For General Manager & Corporate Hotelier finalists, interviews take place in person with the full judging panel, happening the day before or on the day of the Grand Awards Ceremony.

  • Once interviews are transcribed, judges receive the transcripts and independently assign points to each finalist, ensuring a fair evaluation.

  • Before the Grand Awards Ceremony, judges convene once more to finalise the winners. The winners are revealed live during the ceremony, making for an unforgettable moment of recognition.
