Applying to the platform not only encourages personal growth, it also serves as a great method to give back to your team. The application is completely free of charge.

  • To apply, you must have held a post at your current property for a minimum of 9 months prior to the application deadline.

  • All applications must be made through the website; www.stelliers.com

    Asia competition: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam

    South Asia competition: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka

    Greater China competition: China, Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan

  • It is 100% free to apply for the competition. There are no additional costs throughout the competition. If you would like to attend the Grand Awards Ceremony where the winners are announced, tickets cost:

    USD255 Per hotel participant, this reduced price is available for purchase for their family and friends

    USD510 per non-hotel participant

    Please note that if the winner announced is not at the ceremony, the trophy will be shipped to their property.

  • Based on the application and testimonials submitted, the judges look at what the candidates have accomplished for their team and hotel and whether the candidates have gone above and beyond to help achieve the team’s collective goals. Additionally, the judges consider the candidates’ leadership and problem-solving skills as well as their passion for the hospitality industry.

  • Stelliers is not a competition for hotels, but for individuals working in the hospitality industry, for that reason, our judges will not be visiting hotel properties as part of their judging process.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The only preparation required before the judging commences is to fill out the application to the best of your knowledge and ability.

  • The judging process is as follows:

    Round 1: Applications received from Hoteliers will be reviewed by the judges who will each choose their top candidates. The Judging Panel will then meet and reach a consensus on the top 5 finalists in each category.

    Round 2: The finalists, excluding the General Manager and Corporate Hotelier finalists*, will undertake a telephone interview with a representative from the Organising Company. This interview will be transcribed and shared to the Judging Panel.

    The judging panel will then decide on winners based on the scoring system listed below:

    Each member of the Judging Panel will have 6 points in total; they will attribute 1,2,3 points to their top 3 finalists.

    The sum of these points will establish the winner of the category.

    *General Manager and Corporate Hotelier finalists will undergo a face-to-face interview with the Judging Panel on the day of the Grand Awards Ceremony. If a finalist of the mentioned categories cannot attend the face-to-face interview, he or she will be removed from the competition and from winning the award.

  • Only finalists will be interviewed. During the second round of judging (after the finalist announcement), the interviews are conducted via a phone call. The interviews are recorded, transcribed and sent to the judges for review. General Manager, Corporate Hotelier and Corporate Owner Finalists’ interviews are in-person and conducted on the day of the Grand Awards Ceremony. 

  • All applicants or non-applicants are welcomed to attend the awards ceremony. If you wish to attend the ceremony, a ticket must be purchased.

  • A winner of the Awards receives a trophy with their name engraved, while finalists receive a framed certificate with their name included.
