Bordeaux Wine Council Exclusive Showcase – Chengdu Edition

For the third leg of the Bordeaux Wine Council Exclusive Showcase, the Stelliers team travelled to Chengdu for yet another colourful celebration of wine alongside hospitality leadership.

 Meeting both old and new faces working for hotels in the region, including Dean Demitrio – the new General Manager for Niccolo Chengdu following Michael Ganster’s appointment at Niccolo Changsha; Lucas Li, former Stelliers winner and the chef of the evening’s pairing menu, as well as four of this year’s Stelliers finalists, Candice Xie, Faisal Majeeth, Ricky Zheng and Alfred Peng.

Consisting of a cocktail reception at the Niccolo bar, followed by a dinner with carefully selected wine pairings, our guests for the evening learned all about the diversity of Bordeaux Wines and how they can be paired with any cuisine, on any occasion. One highlight of the evening was how incredibly well Bordeaux’s wines complemented the Sichuan-inspired menu filled with the region’s typical ‘ma la’ flavours!

We can’t wait to bring Bordeaux Wines to our next, and final stop…Beijing!
