Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Jackey Yu is a partner from McKinsey & Company and holds the leadership position of McKinsey’s Travel and Tourism practice in Greater China. With over 15 years of experience, he has provided strategic advice to a variety of travel and tourism clients within the industry, including leading global and regional hoteliers, resorts, theme parks, airlines, cruise lines and travel agencies. His passion and interest in the travel sector is evident in his work, which often translate into work in supporting clients to drive multi-year transformational changes in operational, financial and organisational performance. 

Jackey is not only recognised for his expertise in areas such as growth acceleration and consumer insight-led innovation, but also in direct-to-consumer transformation, operations digitisation and new business development. His leadership also extends to spearheading the firm’s research on traveller insights in Asia, and is the lead author of a series of articles focusing on Chinese travellers during the pandemic. He frequently represents McKinsey as the Greater China travel lead in public media and plays a significant role in global tourism events.
