Meet Urgyen Chomphel Shangbo | Stelliers Greater China 2025 Unsung Hero Finalist 

For almost a decade, Urgyen has welcomed guests from all over the world to Grand Lisboa Macau. Every day, he turns small moments into meaningful memories, helping guests celebrate, reconnect, and feel at home. 

During busy seasons, when requests come one after another, Urgyen stays calm and creative. From finding last-minute transport to securing impossible restaurant bookings, he always finds a way to say “yes.” 

 
 

But his kindness doesn’t stop there. Within the team, Urgyen is a patient mentor and a trusted friend. He has trained more than thirty colleagues, sharing his skills and experience with generosity and heart.  

Urgyen believes that true hospitality starts with caring about people — not just serving them.

My name is Urgyen, and I am the Concierge at Grand Lisboa Macau. My role goes beyond simply answering questions or providing directions; it involves connecting our guests with the experiences they dream of.

For over nine years, I've witnessed Urgyen's exceptional contributions daily. During peak seasons, when faced with challenging guest requests, he consequently steps up with creativity and care, always finding a way to make things right. Whether it’s arranging last-minute transportation, securing hard-to-get reservations, or coordinating complex itineraries, he manages every detail with exceptional professionalism and grace. 

What truly sets Urgyen apart is his heartfelt mentorship. He has personally nurtured over 30 team members, generously sharing his expertise and demonstrating a genuine desire to see others thrive.
