Since joining Rosewood Hong Kong in 2022, Ken has not only overseen daily plant room operations but also developed a comprehensive cleaning and maintenance program to ensure system stability and seamless support for all departments. His leadership has strengthened the hotel’s operational backbone, a foundation upon which exceptional guest experiences are built.
For Ken, the hotel is more than a workplace; it’s his second home. He collaborates across departments, always ready to step in whenever help is needed. This sense of ownership and responsibility defines Ken’s approach. Ken Ng - Engineering Supervisor, Plant Room
Hello everyone, my name is Ken, and I am currently the Plant Room Supervisor at Rosewood Hong Kong.
I have 25 years of experience in the hotel industry with a background in electrical engineering, giving me a strong foundation in plant room operations and facility maintenance. Since joining Rosewood Hotel in 2022, I have been responsible not only for the daily operations of the plant room but also for implementing a comprehensive cleaning and maintenance program to ensure system stability and smooth operations across all departments.
Although I’m part of the engineering team, I never limit myself to just my role. I actively collaborate with different departments because I’ve always treated the hotel as my second home. Whenever an issue arises, I handle it with the same care and attention as if I were taking care of my own home.
One particularly memorable incident happened on the eve of a large wedding banquet. The kitchen’s exhaust system suddenly malfunctioned. Even though I had already finished work for the day, I immediately returned to the hotel, quickly identified the issue, and resolved it on the spot to ensure the wedding could proceed smoothly. At that moment, I thought to myself: “If this were my daughter’s wedding, I would do everything I could to make it perfect.” This level of dedication and responsibility earned me recognition and praise from multiple departments.
I’m truly passionate about the hotel industry. Whether it's internal systems or external facilities, I always show up as soon as there’s a need. I firmly believe that a stable and reliable backend is the key driving force behind exceptional hotel service.
