Justin Channe – Stelliers Judge and Veteran Hotelier

Stelliers is delighted to welcome Veteran Hotelier Justin Channe to the Judging Panel for 2021. With exquisite Swiss hospitality school training from Les Roches in the early days, an illustrious 31-year career at IHG, and previous roles at Hyatt, Accor and Mandarin Oriental, Justin brings an abundance of first-hand knowledge and experience to this year’s expert panel.

Justin’s impressive career spans many countries and multiple C-suite and VP level roles within IHG. Most notably he held the position of Chief Operating Officer, IHG Greater China, for over 4 years leading the operations and performance of more than 400 hotels in Greater China. Thereafter, since 2018, Justin headed up Regent Hotels & Resorts as the Managing Director (recently retired), driving the brand’s successful integration with IHG and growing the chain both locally and internationally.

To complement Justin’s rich array of management and operational expertise, his cross-cultural understanding is deep and diverse having worked extensively with multi-cultural teams across the Asia Pacific region, including Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and most recently, the last 15 years spent in Mainland China.

Having held such senior and pivotal roles at IHG across Asia-Pacific, Justin has become a master of his craft. His distinguished career makes him an expert in hotel management and the Asia-Pacific hotel Industry. As a result we are honoured to call upon Justin’s profound knowledge and welcome him to the Stelliers 2021 Judging Panel.
